Pambaram
In an effort to not waste coffee, I went to the pantry to reheat it. I was surprised to see my VP at 11:30 heating his lunch. He read my jacket "peak performance" and gave a smile.. was not sure whether thats a compliment or smirk..so ignored it and happily told him bought it in china for 15 bucks. He said..oh..in silk market.. thats nice .. that shows how effective a XXX (designation) you are in negotiations. I proudly took in the flattery and said ..oh yeah..i tried negotiation like a game using tips from websites. He, then said, he bought some tops from forbidden city for really cheap like 4 bucks. I was like.. did u use to play with top in India..the wooden one. He got excited and started talking about it.. I played along and decided not to tell him I was not quite a player.. all I know was from my sister's experience who use to procure other's tops by competing equally with boys. One thing that my mom always laughed at (dont know whether it was disappointment) was.. I will always go like.. my akka did this.. my akka did that.. cheer for her when she competes in all random games equally with boys but I never moved a single finger. I blame it all on my mom for bringing me up like a girlie girl.
