
Seriously...touchwood.. drinking Emergen-C periodically had worked for me. At the first sign of cold, I just down 2 glasses of emergen-C over a period of 2 hours and there is no cold. When I am in the health conscious mode or something reminds me of Emergen-C, I go into a routine of drinking a packet of Emergen-C a day. I like the Super Orange/Tangerine flavors. Once bought Apricot-Mango.. god.. it was painful to finish that box. Typically, these come in a box of 36/30 packets for $10 or less. Emergen-C is a good combination of vitamins and mineral supplements...worth drinking once a day.
Though it says you can drink more, I would suggest not to do that unless necessary. It can cause diarrhea.
