Appearances are deceptive

I am not going to talk about appearance. One look at me.. you will think I am not a connoisseur of food ;). The problem with me is I am very picky with food. Over the past 2.5 years of my life in Seattle, I have come to love few places.

(1) Vegetarian Bistro in International district. Food is tastefully done and has plenty of unique choices that are not available in most other chinese places. This beats other Fake meat places like Tea Pot and Bamboo garden by miles. The only downside for this place is the location. Otherwise, its a nice neat restaurant.

(2) Queen Sheba on E. Olive Way in Capitol Hill. Have you tasted their Ginger tea especially on a cold evening?.. Nothing like it.. believe me. I like their veggie combo platter than any other dishes they serve.

(3) Sichuanese on 24th st. next to Sleep Country USA on 148th ave NE, Bellevue. They seem to really take pains to cook your dishes compared to other Chinese places I have been. The best Chinese on the East side.

(4) Pho Bac.. vietnamese. I just love their soups and noodles.. perfect for those gloomy and hungry days :). This is again in the International district between S. Jackson street and Weller st.. couple of blocks away from the Union station.

(5) Kabaab House on Greenwood ave. I love their weekend Biryani .. large portions for reasonable price.

(6) Cafe Appy near Kirkland Waterfront. Fresh juice, great bubble tea and simple vegetarian meals. A very good mom and pop shop.

Pastries:

Yummy House Bakery in International District.. amazing cakes and their coconut stuffed buns are really yummy yummy :).

Regent Bakery in Bellevue.. they rock when it comes to fruit based cakes and other pastries.

Dilettante in Capitol Hill.. great late night hang out place.. Good for chocolate lovers. I am not one though :).

Any day.... I like to go to Cheese Cake Factory.
