I just remembered this quote which was first mentioned to me by a friend. At that time, I was so pissed off with somebody for the way they had behaved with me. When he mentioned this to me, I was totally taken aback. I realized I had never looked things from the other person's perspective. Probably, the other person was having a very bad time in his/her life and hence it was harder for that person to be nice to me.
Nowadays, I try my level best to recall this quote whenever possible. It seems easier to give an alternate perspective to people when they are ticked off by somebody else's bad behavior. I am working on this for myself though I would say there are still times when it doesnt work out all the time.
