A Thousand splendid suns
Just read the news about Khaled Hosseini having come out with his new book titled "A Thousand splendid suns". I've a weird form of excitement thinking of getting hold of his new book having read his earlier book "Kite Runner". Kite Runner is one of those stories whose main character is not portrayed as a hero but a normal human being. As you read the book, you get shivers down the spine thinking of the atrocities depraved human mind can conceive of. The feelings that rage in you when you read about Sohrab(the kid) seen in a pool of blood is undescribable. I relate this closely to the horrible feeling "Green Mile"'s Delacroix's death evokes in you. I was literally haunted seeing that movie for a couple of days. Now thinking more about it.. I am not sure whether I want to read his new book especially when it is about women.. do I really have the guts to sit through the book??... I doubt it. Kite Runner is definitely a well written book.. quite balanced ending on a positive note.

I know you wrote about books but on a related note I would highly recommend watching 'Patch Adams'....one of the most insightful and brilliant movies I have ever watched !!
