Hmm... just the way I love checking out different cuisines, I am always on the look out for good toy stores in Seattle. I just love them. Man.. how I wish there were such toystores when I grew up?. So, here we go. There are three mom-n-pop toystores I've managed to dig out in Seattle.
(1) Magic Mouse Toys in Pioneer Square. I love their basement section which has lot of scientific toys and simple tiny "wind me" toys. I can spend hours just trying out each one of them. One of my friends had got christmas gifts for us from this shop thus piquing my curiosity. One of my favorite piece from this store is the tiny musical box :).
(2) Tree top toys on Redmond Way next to QFC. Similar to magic mouse toys but smaller in size. Don't forget to check out Ben and Franklin crafts store next door when you are there.
(3) Archie McPhee on Market street on the way to Ballard Locks, Fremont. This is really a heaven on earth for the curious. Cheap but funny toys..unimaginable collection. Their statement is very apt "You will find here all that you'll never ever need" :). Check out this place especially during the halloween season.
Please do let me know if you know of any such places...would love to explore more :).
