Childhood wishes and dreams :)

The fog that we are seeing for the past two weeks triggered childhood memories. When I was in first grade or so, I used to think the clouds are all icecreams and think that I will eat them if they come within my reach some day. One of my cousins used to eat ice cubes as snacks with my mom praying all the while in the background that her teeth doesnt crack. I told my collegue .. you know what .. had I been 20 years younger.. the moment I had seen snow.. I would have actually taken a handful and put into my mouth. I attributed it to the rarity of the commodity.. and he said .. hmm.. kids do that all the time. They also take ice shavings and put some syrup on it.. and eat it. I told him.. oh yeah.. we used to scrap the inside of the freezer which used to snow like crystals deposited on the inside.. and lump it around a stick.. add some juice concentrate to it.. and lick our way to bliss ... hmmm.. just thinking of all this made me wonder how creative we used to be about our little treats.. how simple things used to make us happy :).
