Purple Cafe
After a long time, we found an occasion to go to the Purple cafe in Seattle. Based on the reviews of the Seattle branch, I took a friend to the Kirkland one just to get disappointed. The Kirkland one lacked the extensive menu the Seattle one had and also, was a much much smaller place. Yesterday, I went with a group of friends to celebrate pre-wedding party of one of our friends. We started out apprehensively but ended the dinner with satisfaction/relief on our faces. The tasting menu was great.. we tried the stuff dates, muhammara, morrocon braised chicken, drunken figs..all of them were very tasty. Starters.. crab cakes, pumpkin gnocchi, bruschetta ..also turned out to be good. We moved on to the entree.. except for one disappointment that was the dish I ordered.. everything else turned out good..the pastas were great and the burgers were surprisingly good. Desserts were like icing on the cake.. especially the warm date cake, vannilla gelato, caramelized apples, maple nut creme brulee.. amazing. The final say.. we will definitely come and I hope to try the famed wine flights next time.
